Princess Superal hobbled home with a two-over 76 and slipped to joint 10th, five strokes off new leader Aditi Ashok of India after two rounds of the Ladies British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Moortown Golf Club in Alwoodley, England, Thursday.
Superal, who had an eagle-spiked 73 over the par-74 layout Wednesday, birdied four times but bogeyed six holes.
The top ICTSI-The Country Club campaigner bogeyed her last two holes for nines of 39-37.
Although she safely made the cut at 155 with a 36-hole total of 149, the former US Girls’ Junior champion will have a lot of catching up to do as Ashok seized control with a 73 for 144, one shot ahead of Briton Abi Laker (73) and Bethan Popel (72).
Sophie Lamb stood fourth at 146 after a 73 while Sam Fuller shot the day’s best score of 71 to rise to joint sixth at 148 with Linn Andersson (74), Olivia Mehaffey (75) and Megan Garland (72).
Opening day leader Vanessa Kneckt of Switzerland ballooned to a 79 to drop to Superal’s group.
