National University is about to get some help in the middle blocker position once its new recruit finalizes her papers.
Lady Bulldogs head coach Roger Gorayeb said Filipino-Japanese Risa Sato, who played as guest player for Ateneo in the previous Shakey’s V-League Collegiate Conference, only needs to work on some paperwork before finalizing his entry to NU.
Sato initially intended to study in Ateneo and join the Lady Eagles but she failed her entrance test.
“She just needs to finalize her paperwork to complete her transfer to NU,” Gorayeb said after NU beat UST in three sets Saturday at the Arena in San Juan.
Gorayeb said she was the one who recruited Sato to play for Ateneo when he was still the coach of the Lady Eagles.
“I’m the first person she’ll come to after Ateneo,” he said.
