CSB ends Spikers’ Turf campaign with thrilling win over FEU

College of St. Benilde finished its campaign in the Spikers’ Turf Season 1 Collegiate Conference in style by outlasting FEU in a five-set thriller, 17-25, 25-23, 14-25, 25-23, 17-15, Monday at San Juan Arena.

The Blazers ended their run with a 2-5 slate, beating fellow also-ran Tamaraws, which fell to 1-6.

Johnvic de Guzman led St. Benilde with 28 points, 21 coming from kills, four blocks, and three service aces as he single-handedly carried the Blazers past the Tamaraws in the come-from-behind victory.

Greg Dolor led FEU in the losing effort with 24 points.
