Espejo-led Ateneo dominates NU, stays unbeaten in Spikers’ Turf

Ateneo breezed past NU, 25-16, 25-20, 25-17 on Monday to remain undefeated in the Spikers’ Turf Season 1 Collegiate Conference at San Juan Arena.
The battle between the two unbeaten teams turned out to be a lopsided one with the Blue Eagles flexing their muscles.
Marck Espejo showed the way for Ateneo with 12 points, all from hits, while Rex Intal added eight points.
The Bulldogs, who will head to the semifinals with a 6-1 record, were led by Bryan Bagunas’ game-high 14 points.
EAC, La Salle, and NCBA, all carrying identical 3-3 records, will dispute the final two semifinal slots on Wednesday.
