NU coach not expecting a title in Spikers’ Turf
While most aim for the championship in sports, it is not something National University Bulldogs head coach expects in this conference of the Spikers’ Turf.
Bulldogs head coach Dante Alinsunurin said he is not chasing the championship in the off-season just as long as his team gets ready for the UAAP.
“I’m not looking forward to win the title, what I want is to get ready for the UAAP and bring back the title,” Alinsunurin said Wednesday at San Juan Arena.
“It’s all about getting ready for the UAAP.”
NU, though, is a few victories away from the title after it entered the finals of the tournament with a sweep of Emilio Aguinaldo Collegie Thursday.
He added players have skills and the talent but once the pressure of the UAAP gets in the atmosphere, the players can’t help but get rattled.
“They’re good, they have the talent, but it’s all about developing that character,” Alinsunurin said.
