Clarkson, who made a commitment to be part of the Philippine national team program, may be thousands of miles away from where the action is but he made his presence felt by showing his support through social media.

“It’s heartbreaking to watch!” the Los Angeles guard posted on his Twitter account following the Philippines’ 75-73 loss to Palestine. “But we only lost the skirmish; not the war.”

“The real test of our team’s heart will come against Hong Kong, Kuwait and others in the next rounds!” the Fil-American wrote. “Let’s show our fellow Filipinos and the world our resiliency and the pride it takes to win. Stay together, win together.”
