Papi Sarr has been one of the few bright spots for Adamson in its winless campaign so far in the UAAP Season 78.
The Cameroonian big man showed flashes of brilliance in the Falcons’ close loss to league-leading Far Eastern University Tamaraws on Sunday where he recorded a double-double with 26 points and 22 rebounds.
Sarr, though, is far from satisfied with his stat-line.
“I expect more. I want to get 30 rebounds,” Sarr said. “I pray I will be confident, that I’ll play hard and help my team in our next games.”
Adamson remains as the only team which has yet to win this season at 0-6 but Sarr is not losing confidence and hope.
“We’re still a young team and we follow what the coach says. We go hard in practice and expect everyday that before the first round ends, we win a game,” Sarr said. “Even though we lost, we always expect to win.”
“We still have confidence. Since the start of the tournament, we always think we can win. We’re just a young team, but we have a confidence that we could win. We’re improving and I hope we’re gonna do the same thing against UP.”
The Falcons aim to get their first win against the struggling Fighting Maroons on October 4 to end their campaign in the first round.
