It’s been said that Gilas Pilipinas would have a hard time against China, but it looks like the Filipinos are also having a hard time in China.
According to Manny V. Pangilinan, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas President, the team’s departure for the game venue was delayed due to a failure to charge the electric bus.

“Now it has begun. Our Gilas electric bus [is] delayed,” Pangilinan posted on Twitter Saturday hours before the Philippines take on China in the final of the FIBA Asia Championship. “Failed to charge daw (The bus failed to charge, apparently).”
Some of the coaching staff of Gilas Pilipinas also have no tickets to the game, according to Pangilinan.
The godfather of Philippine basketball even went on to say: “Mapapaaway kami dito. Sh*t (We are going to get into a fight here).”
