Though UP Pep Squad didn’t get the result it was hoping for, team captain Cam Lagmay was still satisfied with her team’s performance in the 2015 UAAP Cheerdance Competition Saturday at Mall of Asia Arena.

“I’m very proud of how we performed,” she said in a short chat with INQUIRER.net after the awarding ceremonies.

“We had zero deductions. We’re very high in difficulty and we had so much technique. Our tosses were very good, we didn’t have any mistakes,” said Lagmay. “I’m very proud of how we performed and our showmanship is great.”

The Diliman crew came away with 610.5 points for their “utak and puso” performance, enough to put them at third spot behind NU Pep Squad and UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe.

UP Pep Squad came away with the P140,000 cash prize as the second runner-up.

Though the crew was still able to finish in the top three, the eight-time cheerdance champs were unable to dislodge the Bulldogs from their throne at the top of the UAAP Cheerdance.
