Tolomia, Tamaraws carry confidence to UAAP 2nd round

Mike Tolomia certainly doesn’t lack confidence.

In the first finals rematch between Far Eastern University and National University, it was confidence that Tolomia banked on when the Tamaraws were hungry for vengeance.
With the score tied at 52, Tolomia buried two three-pointers to give the FEU the lead  en route to FEU’s 61-59 win over last year’s tormentor.

“I’m confident with the shots I took, I was open and I had to take it,” Tolomia said Wednesday as the first round of the UAAP Men’s Basketball Tournament came to a close.

And his confidence transcends to his team.

With a 6-1 record, the Tamaraws are tied with University of Santo Tomas on top of the standings entering the second round on Saturday.
“We’re confident going into the second round,” Tolomia said.
