Carlos wrests Cangolf Am lead with 69

Jobim Carlos recovered from a bogey mishap on the 17th with a birdie on the final hole, finishing with a three-under 69 for 139 and a one-shot lead over erstwhile leader Jelbert Gamolo in the second round of the Canlubang Amateur Open in Laguna Thursday. In the Ladies’ division, former US Girls’ Junior champion Princess Superal fired a four-under 68 and tied defending champion and The Country Club teammate Pauline del Rosario on top.
