Bringas lifts Foton in OT; Euro-Med up

Foton Toplander survived Cagayan, 97-94, in extra time Wednesday night to barge into the win column in the PCBL Founders Cup at Filoil Flying V Arena.

Arvy Bringas came away with three crucial points in the last four seconds of the extra period as the Toplander picked up their first win in three matches in the tournament.

Games of the PCBL Founders Cup are being shown every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 p.m., Thursday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. on AksyonTV.

Foton, which won despite getting outrebounded by Cagayan, 45-54, drew big efforts from Levi Hernandez and Allan Mangahas, who combined for 45 points.

Nearly overshadowed by Foton’s thrilling victory was Euro-Med’s second win, at the expense of Racal Kama Motors, 81-70, in the tournament backed by Spalding, Accel, Aquabest and Ambucore.
