Kama Motors upends Foton five; Caida up
FORMER pros Rudy Lingganay and JR Cawaling combined for Kama Motors’ last eight points in a dramatic 76-74 nipping of Foton in the PCBL Founders Cup at Filoil Flying V Arena.
Lingganay, who played for Powerade, GlobalPort and KIA in the PBA, scored back-to-back baskets, including a layup that shoved Kama Motors in front, 72-71, with still 1:05 left in the game.
After Foton pulled in front anew 74-72, Cawaling—a member of San Mig Coffee’s Grand Slam team in 2014 but was acquired by KIA in the dispersal draft—buried a triple to put his team back in the lead.

Kama Motors’ sister team, Caida Tiles, solidified its hold of the lead by nipping Sta. Lucia, 65-64, in the other game.
Caida stayed perfect in the tournament supported by Spalding, Ambucore, Accel and Aquabest.
