Otico spearheads local challenge in PSC jr tennis

Promising Filipino netters led by John Bryan Otico will test their wares against a tough foreign field in the PSC-Phinma International Juniors Championships on Nov. 17 to 22 at Manila Polo Club in Makati.

Players from Malaysia, Thailand, Great Britain, Russia, India, Japan, Australia and Korea are among those vying for slots in the main draw.

Otico, 16, bagged his first ITF juniors title early this year in Vietnam. He is the only local bet in the main draw where five Thais and four Japanese also made it. Marc Anthony Reyes
