Sta. Lucia, Metro Pacific 5s prevail
Former champion Sta. Lucia Land Realty barged into the win column after two starts as it overpowered Power Innovation Philippines, 95-88, Thursday in the 5th DELeague basketball at Marikina Sports Center.
A 7-0 run anchored on two straight baskets by Eluid “Eloy” Poligrantes broke a 40-all count, 1:38 remaining in the first half, before the Realtors eventually grabbed the lead.
Poligrantes finished with 29 points, four rebounds and four assists while Victor Jean chipped in 22 points for Sta. Lucia

Choi Ignacio and Chris Concepcion made 17 and 15 points, respectively, for the Aguilas.
Matches will resume on Tuesday with Austen Morris Associates and Philippine Christian University tangling in the first game at 7 p.m. and newcomer Flydragons Logistics going up against Far Eastern University-NRMF in the 8:30 p.m. main match.
