After sending Ronda Rousey back to earth with a devastating head kick, Holly Holm will get to face the former UFC women’s bantamweight champions once more.
Los Angeles Times reported a rematch between Holm and Rousey is set on July 9 in Las Vegas, according to UFC President Dana White.

White told LA Times Rousey has the ability to bounce back and overcome the shock defeat she got at the hands of Holm in UFC 193.
“Ronda is the fiercest competitor I have ever met in my life and she’s also very proud,” White said in the report. “What made the world love Ronda is that Ronda absolutely knew she was not going to lose… people rallied around this powerful female figure.”
“Ronda’s never lost a fight. She will overcome it and be back.”
Ronday may face until six months of medical suspension pending negative results of a CT scan. She is also not allowed to have any contact in the next 45 days or fight inside the Octagon in the next 60 days.

Lenny Fresquez, Holm’s manager, told the LA Times he met with UFC officials and received the proposal for the Rousey rematch but expressed concerns the former champion won’t be ready for the July 9 fight.
“I’m not sure Ronda will be ready for a Julyn fight,” Fresquez said. “She took a severe beating and I don’t think it’s in her best interest to take the fight so fast. They told me she’s been cleared and ready.”
Fresquez added no.1 contender Miesha Tate deserves a title shot but “it’s not for me to decide.”
