Saludar takes crack at WBO king Tanaka

Filipino Vic Saludar seeks the World Boxing Organization minimum weight crown when he battles Japanese champion Kozsei Tanaka on New Year’s Eve in Nagoya, Japan.

The 25-year-old Saludar, one of the key fighters of the famed ALA Boxing Stable, holds an 11-1 slate with 9 knockouts. Tanaka, 20, is unbeaten in five fights with two knockouts. Roy Luarca
