Two-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo injured his left knee following a rebound play against Jireh Ibañes with around seven minutes left in the third quarter of the game 6 of the PBA semifinals series between San Miguel and Rain or Shine Friday night.

The Beermen were fighting back from an early 15-point lead and was just trailing by three, 52-49, when Fajardo felt a “pop” on his left knee, which was immediately iced by the medics and took him to the San Miguel dugout.

Inside the dugout, doctors checked on Fajardo and said that the big man will be under further observation. Fajardo’s girlfriend Aerielle Patnongon watched on.

Fajardo still tried to move his left knee while on the gurney and asked San Miguel staff to turn on the television as he watched his teammates joined forces to take a 70-63 lead after the third frame.

He was then taken shortly to St. Luke’s in Global City.
