The Philippine Olympic Committee has tasked former long-time bowling chief Steve Hontiveros to form a body that would take over the reins of the embattled national bowling association.
POC president Jose “Peping” Cojuangco Jr., said Hontiveros would be the best person to rehabilitate the sport that has brought the country international pride through world champions Paeng Nepomuceno, Bong Coo, and Biboy Rivera among others.
“As former president of the the Philippine Bowling and International Bowling, I think Mr. Hontiveros is the best person to put the Philippine Bowling Congress in order,” said Cojuangco.
