After two months of inactivity, Gilas Pilipinas pool resumed its Monday practices in preparation for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in July.
Marc Pingris, Terrence Romeo, LA Tenorio, Japeth Aguilar, Gabe Norwood, Jeff Chan, Mo Tautuaa, Troy Rosario, Matt Ganuelas-Rosser and cadets Kiefer Ravena and Kevin Ferrer showed up for the night’s session.
June Mar Fajardo and Marcio Lassiter attended but didn’t participate.
Gilas head coach Tab Baldwin also made his return to the country after a trip to the United States, and had his full staff on deck for the first practice of 2016.
The team convened for its first practice since December last year.
The Philippines, one of the three hosts, will begin its Olympic dream against powerhouse France and New Zealand.
The winner of the Manila tournament will earn one of the last three tickets to the Rio Olympics in August.
