Rain or Shine’s string of bad luck with injuries continue.

Comebacking reinforcement Wayne Chism went down with a hamstring injury after a bad fall in the third quarter of the Elasto Painters’ 98-95 defeat to Meralco on Wednesday.

The injury is expected to be a big blow for Rain or Shine, which went to the Finals of last season’s Commissioner’s Cup behind Chism.

“May partial tear ang hamstring nya,” said coach Yeng Guiao as the team is working overtime to find a replacement for the former Best Import awardee.

The fiery coach already ruled out Chism for Sunday’s tussle against Ginebra.

“Malabo na sya for Sunday kaya naghahanap pa rin kami ng replacement,” he said.

However, Guiao is not closing the door on a Chism return, but that depends if he can recover immediately.

“If Wayne can heal in a week or so, we will bring him back. Otherwise, we have no choice,” he said.
