Ever the humble victor, Ateneo’s Alyssa Valdez knows Adamson can bounce back after their poor start in the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball tournament.
Valdez was never the lady to talk down her opponents and the UAAP MVP offered some kind words to the skidding Lady Falcons.

“For sure Adamson will learn from it and next round for sure yung experience nila from this game and others madadala nila,” Valdez said after her Lady Eagles swept the Lady Falcons at Mall of Asia Arena.
Adamson dropped to 1-4 while Ateneo kept its immaculate slate of 5-0.
Valdez produced 23 points as the Lady Eagles looked to take cover every time the two-time MVP went up.
Still, Valdez dismissed the notion that it was an easy win despite the 25-19, 25-23, 25-16 scoreline.
“Really yung Adamson di naman sila bumibigay until the very end, lumaban naman talaga sila,” Valdez said.
“Hindi naman siguro sa nadalian kami, more on si Jia [Morado] talaga na distribute yung bola. Siguro nag-click talaga yung mga first ball namin at yung defense namin.”
