After Kiefer Ravena and Kevin Ferrer, Mac Belo, another young star fresh out of college, joined national team pool’s Mondays-only training at Moro Lorenzo Sports Center in Ateneo.

Belo led Far Eastern University to its first UAAP title in 10 years where he was also named Finals MVP as he and the Tamaraws beat Ferrer’s University of Santo Tomas in a thrilling Finals series nearly three months ago.

The 6-foot-3 Belo, who is currently playing in the PBA D-League for the Phoenix-FEU Accelerators, is among the top PBA prospects in the next Rookie Draft along with Ravena, Ferrer and Jio Jalalon of Arellano University.

Belo also reunited with his college coach Nash Racela, who also serves as one of national team coach Tab Baldwin’s assistants.

Practicing for only the third time this year, Gilas was in full force with only about four months left before it goes up against some of the world’s best in the Olympic qualifying tournament where a ticket to the Rio Olympics is at stake.
