San Beda wins NCAA Season 91 juniors, seniors overall crown

San Beda may have seen the end of its five-year reign in men’s basketball but the school regained its supremacy in the overall standings.

Boosted by double championship victories in tennis and swimming and a title in table tennis (women), San Beda garnered 632.5 points to win the general championship in the seniors division.

San Beda also ruled the juniors division with 405 points, marking the first time the school topped both divisions.

College of St. Benilde, which finished first in the overall tally for the past two seasons, was sent to a runner-up finish in both divisions.

CSB earned 627.5 points with championships in women’s taekwondo, badminton, men’s table tennis and women’s volleyball.

Arellano University was a distant third with 497.3 points, Lyceum came in fourth with 376 points, Perpetual Help followed in sixth (347.8), host Mapua landed in seventh (338.3) while Emilio Aguinaldo College (332.5), San Sebastian (320.5) and Jose Rizal University (163.8) filled the last three spots.

The last time San Beda, which now has a total of four general championships, won the seniors general championship was back in Season 88.
