Zaragosa, Go snatch MVP golf top seeding
RUPERT Zaragosa carded a four-under 68 yesterday to earn top seeding and the lightest possible first-round assignment in the first MVP Sports Foundation Visayas Regional Match Play championship at Cebu Country Club.
The incoming foreign studies junior at Lyceum tallied a level 144 for the 36-hole classification and drew 32nd-ranked Victor Advincula in the opening round of the knockout stages starting today.
Lois Kaye Go, a club player who is one of the country’s most promising junior talents, fired a 76 for 151 to top women’s play and earn a clash with 16th-seeded Renafe Arnado.

Mark Dy, who set the first-round pace with a 72 on Monday, shot a 75 and settled for No. 3, drawing No. 30 Sir Cross Abarintos, who shot a 96 for 186.
