For the first time in 14 years San Miguel is down 0-2 in a five-game series, and the Beermen need every adjustment if they want to surge to another playoff comeback since their historic Philippine Cup title.

Point guard Alex Cabagnot said the team has to analyze what went wrong in Games 1 and 2 considering both losses were not blowouts.

First, though, they have to look at game tapes and see what needs to change in time for Game 3 on Thursday at Philsports Arena.

“We got to look at some video and analyze that, definitely there’s stuff that’s wrong,” Cabagnot said Tuesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

San Miguel lost to Rain or Shine 98-96 in a game that was 0.3 seconds from a win had Marcio Lassiter’s final heave was released earlier.

They also lost Game 1 98-94.

Cabagnot said there’s a vastly different perspective when they watch the game as a spectator from their view as a player.

“I haven’t really seen the video, it’s different when you’re playing hopefully we can make adjustments that could pull the game off for us.”

Despite the 0-2 deficit, Cabagnot is confident they can turn things around since he was on the forefront of San Miguel’s epic comeback in the Philippine Cup Finals against Alaska.

San Miguel came back from a 0-3 deficit to win the title.

“I don’t want to say no, I have to say yes,” Cabagnot said when asked if they can erase the deficit. “Use that as a reference, mga experiences na ganun that is something you could cherish and use in times like this.”
