Valdez open to playing overseas

Alyssa Valdez, one of the best volleyball players in the Philippines today, could take her talents outside of the country.

Fresh off her final game in the UAAP, Valdez on Wednesday said she’s “open” to playing abroad, with several offers coming from different countries after her stint in the Asian U23 Women’s Volleyball Championship.

“I’m really open to playing outside the country,” Valdez said.

Japan’s head coach Kiyoshi Abo and Iran’s assistant Hashe Maryam, after seeing Valdez steer the PH team, were both impressed with the former Lady Eagle’s performance.

Even Chinese-Taipei wanted to bring in Valdez to play in its commercial league.
