Everyone expected RC Cola – Army to pick first in the 2016 Philippine Superliga Draft.
But in a weird turn of events, the Lady Troopers decided to forego the rights to their pick, paving the way for F2 Logistics to select Ara Galang as the overall selection on Friday.

“Overpopulated na yung team namin,” explained coach Kungfu Reyes.
The affable mentor said that the move is seen as a beneficial for the squad, as RC Cola – Army may just waste the talent of a rookie given its loaded roster.
“Wala pang bakante sa amin eh. May mga tao kami na naka-reserve na alam na yung sistema ng team at wala ng adjustment na gagawin. Kukuha pa ba kami ng iba? Kukuha muna kami sa loob bago lumabas,” Reyes said. “Di naman kami kukuha ng di naman namin gagamitin. Magsasayang lang kami ng investment kung yun ang mangyayari.”

Behind the leadership of Jovelyn Gonzaga, Rachel Ann Daquis, Tina Salak, Tin Agno, and Honey Royse Tubino, RC Cola – Army still poses a potent crew which is expected to be one of the contenders for the 2016 PSL All-Filipino Conference, set to begin on June 18.
Without any rookies to boot, Reyes said that the focus for the Lady Troopers right now is to develop their players.
“May mga tao pa kami na dapat i-develop. Bago kami lumabas, doon muna kami kukuha sa loob. Habang kumpleto pa yung players namin, di pa kami kukuha,” he said. “Siguro in a few years, maaari kaming kumuha once na kailangan na magpahinga ng mga beterano namin.”
