F2 Logistics spikers have been a force of nature lately in the Philippine Super Liga, with an immaculate 4-0 record, the Cargo Movers have established their dominance in the professional league.
With just three games remaining in the elimination stages, the talk of a sweep looms in the horizon and team captain Cha Cruz doesn’t discount the possibility of holding on to that perfection.
“Sinasabi ni coach [Ramil de Jesus] basta maka five na panalo, safe na,” said Cruz after she finished with six points in their romp of Foton Sunday at San Juan Arena.
“Mas maganda na sweep kasi learning progress.”
Before they take on the challenge of sweeping the eliminations, though, Cruz said they have to focus on their chemistry.
F2 Logistics is built around the core of De La Salle University, which consists of Mika Reyes, Kim Fajardo, Kim Dy, Ara Galang, Cyd Demecillo, Christine Soyud, Dawn Macandili, and Mary Joy Baron.
Macandili and Baron are the only two who will still play for the Lady Spikers come the next UAAP season.
Cruz and Aby Maraño’s days in La Salle are long over and the captain knows they have to improve their on-court movement and communication better if they hope to remain perfect.
“Kailangan namin na mag-gel pa, yun iniisip namin parati,” said Cruz. “Ang hirap naman kung focus namin yun and hindi kami nag ge gel sa loob, so better na mas gel kami sa loob.”
