But a win remains important for the Lady Bulldogs, who vie for a 4-0 sweep of Group A on the last day of eliminations.
“Whoever our opponent is, we should always go all out,” said NU deputy coach Edjet Mabbayad.
Game time is set at 6 p.m. at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
A victory by the Lady Eagles (1-2) will put them up against Technological Institute of the Philippines (2-2) in a playoff match for the last quarterfinal berth on Monday.
Only the top three teams in each group will advance to the quarterfinals.
San Sebastian College (3-1) secured a slot along with NU in Group A, while University of the Philippines (3-0), Far Eastern University (3-0) and University of Santo Tomas (2-2) also earned berths in the other group.
UP and FEU dispute the Group B lead at 4 p.m.
Earlier, NU takes on St. Benilde at 10 a.m. while Ateneo tangles with UST at 12 noon in the Spikers’ Turf Season 2 Collegiate Conference.
After sweeping Perpetual Help in straight sets, the Lady Eagles hope to pull off an upset against the Lady Bulldogs, who will lean on Jaja Santiago, who has 46 hits in three games.
