Ginebra draws inspiration from Dalupan as it faces Rain or Shine

Barangay Ginebra head coach Tim Cone is dedicating the Kings’ game on Sunday to Baby Dalupan, who passed away recently.

Philippine sports mourned the passing of Dalupan and Cone was one of those who expressed grief to the one, who, like most refer to as the country’s greatest coach.

“I’m truly hoping we can honor Coach Baby’s passing with a win tomorrow. #GOAT,” Cone posted on his Twitter account on the eve of Ginebra’s duel against Rain or Shine at Araneta Coliseum.

Ever since, Cone has spoken so highly of Dalupan, who, for the longest time had been the winningest coach in PBA history with 15 championships until Cone won his 16th title two years ago.

And even then, Cone had said over and over, that “no one will ever surpass Baby.”
