Lesnar bloodies Orton; Balor, Ambrose shine at SummerSlam

Brock Lesnar left Randy Orton in a pool of blood for the TKO victory to end SummerSlam Monday (Manila time) at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The former UFC heavyweight champion took out his frustration after Orton kicked out of an F5, taking his gloves off and beating his opponent to a pulp before Orton gushed in blood, which led to the referee stopping the match.
SmackDown Live commissioner Shane McMahon came out to diffuse the already volatile situation, but even him wasn’t safe from Lesnar as the Beast Incarnate also gave him an F5.
In the night’s other matches, the Demon King also took his rightful place at the top as Finn Balor beat Seth Rollins to become the first WWE Universal Champion.
Balor reversed a Pedigree attempt and hit Rollins with a standing foot stomp. He followed it up with a pair of dropkicks to the turnbuckles that set up the Coup de Grace for the win.
It was a momentous debut for the Irish, who became the first superstar to win the company’s biggest prize in his pay-per-view debut.
Dean Ambrose also retained his WWE World Championship, blocking Dolph Ziggler’s facebuster from the top turnbuckle and turning it to Dirty Deeds for the victory.
Charlotte also reclaimed the WWE Women’s Championship from Sasha Banks after reversing the latter’s Bank Statement to a roll-up pin.
AJ Styles bested John Cena in their grudge match, hitting the 15-tine world champion with the Styles Clash and the Phenomenal Forearm for the three-count.
A pre-match brawl threw the United States title match to a no contest after defending champion Rusev and Roman Reigns pummeled each other at ringside.
The ringside doctor deemed Rusev unable to compete due to an injury, but Reigns came back to the ring and hit a Spear on his rival.
The Miz kept his Intercontinental Championship after hitting challenger Apollo Crews with the Skull Crushing Finale.
New Day also remained as WWE Tag Team Champions after Big E returned from a groin contusion and saved Jon Stewart from Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
Anderson and Gallows were about to pull Stewart to the ring post before Big E came out and attacked the challengers, resulting to the disqualification victory for The Club. Still, The New Day will continue its already year-long reign with the tag titles.
Nikki Bella also made her comeback, helping Natalya and Alexa Bliss score the victory with a TKO to beat the team of Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Carmella. She replaced Eva Marie, who was handed with a 30-day suspension, for the six-woman tag mach.
Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens also defeated Enzo Amore and Big Cass after the six-time world champion hit the brash New Yorker with a Codebreaker to score the pinfall.
In the pre-show, Sheamus notched the first win in his best-of-7 series against Cesaro after nailing the Swiss Superman with a Brogue Kick.
Neville and Sami Zayn also picked up a win over the Dudley Boyz after a miscommunication between the nine-time tag champs led to Zayn hitting Bubba Ray with a Helluva Kick, which was followed up by a Red Arrow from Neville.
The Usos, American Alpha, and Hype Bros also came away victorious against The Vaudevillains, The Ascension and Breezango.
Jason Jordan and Chad Gable hit Simon Gotch with the Grand Amplitude before Jey Uso made the blind tag and nailed the Superfly Splash for the three-count.
