PBA: Meralco boosts playoff chances, clips NLEX

Meralco bolstered its quarterfinal chances after nipping NLEX, 101-95, in the 2016 PBA Governors’ Cup Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Import Allen Durham dominated anew with 31 points and 17 rebounds but the Bolts also had Baser Amer stepping up down the stretch with all of his seven points coming inside the final two minutes.

The Bolts have now won two in row and improved to 5-3 while the Road Warriors saw their two-game winning run snapped and slid to 3-4.
