Ancajas beats Puerto Rican champ, grabs IBF title
Jerwin Ancajas pulled off a stunner on Saturday by dominating McJoe Arroyo to snatch the IBF super flyweight championship via unanimous decision at the Jurado Hall in Taguig City.
The Cavite-based Ancajas rocked the Puerto Rican champion down in the sixth round and scored another knockdown in the seventh, before dominating the rest of the fight.

In the end, Ancajas, 24, took all the judges’ scorecards, 118-109, 117-110, 115-112, upsetting the former Olympian in his first title defense since winning the then-vacant belt from Arthur Villanueva in July 2015.
Ancajas — victorious in his last 12 fights — improved his record to 35-1 with 16 KOs.
