Japan ousts Indonesia in AVC club tournament
BIÑAN—Japan made quick work of Indonesia, 25-16, 25-15, 25-17, to start its campaign in the Asian Volleyball Confederation Asian Women’s Club Championship Sunday at Alonte Sports Center here.
The NEC Red Rockets joined the Kazakh team Altay VC atop the standings while Jakarta Elektrik, the Indonesian representatives, has been eliminated from the tournament with a 0-2 record in Group C.
Ayu Ajeng’s service error was Indonesia’s costliest miscue as it awarded the win to Japan and eliminated Jakarta Elektrik from the tournament.
