Aaron Black had to be assisted by his Ateneo teammates on his way out of the Mall of Asia Arena Wednesday.
Black hurt his left foot just a couple minutes into the Blue Eagles’ 76-71 win over the Far Eastern University Tamaraws and did not return.
Ateneo consultant Tab Baldwin feels Black could be sidelined for a while.

“I’m not very optimistic. I think we’re going to be without him for some time, but we have to wait until we get to X-Rays,” Baldwin told reporters after the Eagles won their second game in the UAAP Season 79.
From MOA, Arena Black is off to have his foot checked and undergo X-Ray.
“I just felt something on my foot, I still don’t know what it is, but there’s something on my foot,” Black said. “I’d get an X-Ray today, but I really don’t know, I just felt something on my foot when I pushed off. I started hopping, after thatI can’t really run anymore.”
Black has been a valuable piece for Ateneo this year but Baldwin isn’t too concerned with his second-year guard missing games.
“We got a deep team with young kids. Some of them are gonna be good on some days, some of them are gonna be young kids on some days. We lose the talent of Aaron, but he’s already put in one really good game and one forgettable game.”
