“Kailangan namin lumaban talaga simula next game,” said Batiller after their 75-71 loss. “Hindi na kami pwede matalo.”

Both UE and UP were gunning for their first win this season but it was Fighting Maroons who made it 1-3 while the Red Warriors were left to tend their wounds.

He admits that the Red Warriors are losing confidence as the skid grows longer.

“Parang wala kaming kumpiyansa sa sarili namin,” said Batiller who had 14 points and eight rebounds. “Wala kaming kumpiyansa sa loob ng court.”
