Lack of players in practice concerns PSL All-Stars coach

Philippine Superliga-Manila’s Japanese head coach is looking concerned with the first day of the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship less than a month away.

Shun Takahashi on Sunday said the local players and the foreign reinforcements have to work better.

Just one problem, though, the team has seldom been complete since they began training more than a week ago.

“Problem is, the Filipino players also need to train with their club teams,” said Takahashi after their practice at Arellano University School of Law gymnasium.

Of the 20 players listed in the roster, only four showed up and they were all foreign imports.

“That’s a problem,” said Takahashi with a help from a translator.”

The FIVB WCWC is 22 days away and Takahashi said the players still haven’t figured out how to communicate with each other properly.

“They need to communicate better.”
