Baguio—In ideal weather, Manila Southwoods-Masters played to its true potential and is threatening to blow Cebu Country Club away in Championship Division action of the PAL Ladies Interclub yesterday.
Top gun Pauline del Rosario fired a two-under-par 66 worth 56 points and Mikhaela Fortuna backed her up with 53 as SW-Masters tallied a second round 152, counting the 43 of Serafina Kim, for a 36-hole 305 aggregate and a 26-point lead over Cebu CC.
“It’s still too early to celebrate, there are still two rounds left,” said SW-Masters playing skipper Claire Ong, whose 42 failed to count in the face of the solid effort of the Carmona-based lasses. “We know Cebu CC can still play better.”
