Pocari Sweat had a slight hitch in Game 2 of its Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Reinforced Conference semifinals tiff against University of Santo Tomas on Monday.

Excited to advance to the Finals, guest player Andrea Kacsits uncharacteristically forgot her shorts and game shoes when she came to the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

Though team utility was able to get her stuff before the game started, Lady Warriors coach Rommel Abella had to teach her middle blocker a lesson.

“Hindi na excuse yun kasi alam din naman nila na they need to bring both sets of uniforms,” he said.

“Makalimutan man yung isang uniform, hindi pa rin acceptable yung mga ganoong bagay kasi dapat semi-professional na tayo.”

Abella said even players in the collegiate level know that those things shouldn’t happen, especially going to a big game like the one Pocari Sweat had against UST.

“Yung mga collegiate nga, hindi nakakalimot ng uniform eh. What  more yung mga semi-professional or professional players na? It’s unacceptable,” he said.

The American reinforcement was forced to sit the first two sets of the game before Abella finally called her number in the third set.

“Kahit nung nakuha na nya yung uniform nya, hindi muna namin sya pinasok. I guess lesson na para sa kanya yun,” the mentor said.

Kacsits was still able to contribute seven points in the game, as the Lady Warriors advanced to the championship over the Tigresses in five sets, 25-17, 24-26, 26-24, 25-27, 15-8.
