ONE: Gafurov stops Jadambaa in opening round

SINGAPORE — Marat Gafurov has stopped one fighter after another that stood his way and Friday night was no different.
Gafurov put Narantungalag Jadambaa to sleep in the first round in their rematch and retained his featherweight title in the co-featured bout of ONE: Defending Honor at Singapore Indoor Stadium here.

The Russian champion also submitted Jadambaa via the same chokehold in their first encounter nearly a year ago.
Gafurov has been on a tear, improving to 15-0 and winning his last six fights by submission.
