Jaja Santiago tows Foton to 7th win
Jaja Santiago exploded with 30 points as Foton subdued hard-fighting RC Cola-Army, 25-20, 20-25, 29-27, 21-25, 15-7, last night in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at Philsports Arena.
The 21-year-old Santiago, who missed two games after joining National U’s training in Japan, also had five blocks to go with three aces.
Import Lindsay Stalzer backed her up with 24 points.
Foton upped its record to 7-1, while Army fell to 3-5.
Earlier, Generika finally won after 10 games, thrashing Cignal, 25-15, 25-20, 25-22.
The win energized the Life Savers who can still make the semifinals if they can pull off surprise wins in the playoffs.
The HD Spikers again missed injured import Lynda Morales and fell to 1-7.
