Manila to host two ONE Championship events next year

ONE Championship is hosting two of its events at Mall of Asia Arena next year as part of its jampacked schedule for 2017.

Asia’s leading mixed martial arts promotion will stage fight nights on April 21 and November 10 with
Filipino titlists like ONE Heavyweight Champion Brandon Vera and ONE Lightweight Champion Eduard Folayang expected to headline the said events.

Other Filipino fighters also impressed in the last event held here, with Vera, Mark Striegl, and Team Lakay members Honorio Banario, Edward Kelly, and Danny Kingad scoring victories in ONE: Age of Domination last December 2.

“With the addition of key senior leaders to aid ONE with our growth plans, the promotion is in an unbelievable position to make some major waves in the global MMA industry. Together we aim to deliver fans a continuously unique experience that they will never forget,” said Victor Cui, ONE Championship CEO, in a statement.

Also hosting events in 2017 are Jakarta in Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Bangkok in Thailand, Singapore, Da Nang in Vietnam, and Beijing, Yangon, Macau, and Shenzhen in China.
