Jason Brickman will finally see action in the Philippines as he headlines the Fil-foreign aspirants who will test their luck in the 2016 PBA D-League Draft on December 20 at PBA Cafe in Metrowalk, Pasig.

The Fil-Am guard has been one of the most intriguing prospects after he and now-Phoenix Fuel Master guard Matthew Wright led the Ariel Vanguardia-coached Westports Malaysia Dragons to the 2016 ASEAN Basketball League championship.

He averaged 13.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 10.7 assists in the last ABL season en route to being named as the Finals Most Valuable Player.

Brickman also suited up for the gold medal-winning Mighty Sports-Philippines team in the 2016 Jones Cup.

But he’s not the lone bluechip Fil-foreign player joining the field.

Known as a reliable scorer, Davon Potts will also make the leap.

He averaged 15.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in his first year in San Beda and was a crucial cog in helping the Red Lions snare the NCAA Season 92 title this year.

San Francisco State swingman Robbie Herndon will also join this year’s draft proceedings.

The 22-year-old topped two-time PBA MVP Willie Miller to reign supreme in the 2016 Red Bull King of the Rock Philippines tournament last March.

Also throwing his name in the hat is Fil-Swede Andreas Cahilig.

The 6-foot-3 forward last suited up for Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology in NAASCU this past season.

There a total of 15 Fil-foreign players out of the 128 who applied for this year’s draft, all hoping to take a step closer in making it to the PBA.

Once drafted, the Fil-foreign players must submit the necessary papers to the PBA to be cleared for competition.
