Petron Blaze snaps 3-game skid with win over Alaska

MANILA, Philippines – Joseph Yeo fueled Petron Blaze with 27 points as the Boosters snapped their three-game slide Saturday night in the 37th PBA Philippine Cup at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City.

With blue-chip rookie Chris Lutz out due to a strained hamstring, Yeo came up big in the clutch as he capped his stellar performance with a nifty drive that gave Petron an 84-80 cushion with 35 ticks left.

Point guard Alex Cabagnot iced the game with two free throws as the Boosters upped their slate to 4-3 while reeling the Aces to their sixth setback in seven stints.

Alaska rallied 13-4 surge to cut down a double-digit deficit to just two, 80-82, with 1:36 left.

Before the former De La Salle standout restored order with flair.

Yeo, known for his exciting style of play, also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out four assists.
