A familiar face is expected to lead University of The East Lady anew.

Lady Warriors head coach Francis Vicente said outside hitter Shaya Adorador is back as the team’s captain, replacing the beleaguered Celine Domingo who left UE for Far Eastern University.

Vicente added Adorador’s return as the team’s leader for UAAP Season 79 is fitting for the fifth year player, who has improved her craft with her exposure to international volleyball events.

Adorador played with the likes of Generika team captain Wensh Tiu from La Salle and Rubie De Leon, who both won championships with De La Salle and University of Santo Tomas.

Vicente observed Adorador has been more vocal with the team after spending time in the Philippine Super Liga but he doesn’t want his captain to solely carry the burden of UE.
