Star center Rafi Reavis is not the one to ponder over his individual statistics.
What he’s after is for his Hotshots to get wins in their semifinals series against Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Philippine Cup.
“I don’t really care about the points or stats, the only thing that matters is the W,” said Reavis. “However that comes [the stats], I’ll go with it, as long as we win that’s the only thing I’m concerned about.”
And on Friday he got what he wanted as the Hotshots turned back Ginebra 89-80 to take a 3-2 series lead.
But as far as his numbers go, his stat line is worth looking t.
Reavis’ numbers, especially his rebounding, have been on a steady rise as he just tacked on his second-straight double-double of the series after a 17-point and 13-rebound line.
After Game 5, Reavis’ averages are at 9.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, and a block.
“I’ll just say I was at the right place and at the right time, that’s what I’m always trying to do,” said Reavis. “My mindset was just to play it out, just try to defend and be there for my teammates.”
