Padda blasts Lady Falcons in team’s ‘worst performance’
Adamson head coach Airess Padda didn’t sugarcoat things after the Lady Falcons lost to University of Santo Tomas in three sets, 25-13, 25-12, 25-9, in the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball tournament Saturday at Filoil Flying V Centre.
This was the Lady Falcons’ sixth straight loss, putting them at the bottom of the eight-team ladder.

Galanza is Adamson’s only notable holdover from Season 78 when the team still had Erika Alkuino, Mylene Paat, and Fhen Emnas.

The Lady Falcons are the worst team in terms of spikes, blocks, and services.

Padda said she’s trying to have her team complement Galanza’s efforts especially that the first round is about to close.
“This week has been really about encouraging the other girls to step up because there’s no ‘I’ in team and it’s not just one person,” said Padda. “They definitely didn’t do that today and I think their will to win is not enough.”
Padda’s Lady Falcons got outshone in the scoring department with UST taking a 31-16 advantage in spikes, 7-3 edge in blocks, and a lopsided 14-0 line in service aces.
“It’s a choice when you are in a match to fight and compete and give it your best.”
