Bernadeth Pons is not only a reliable scorer for Far Eastern University, she’s also one of the Lady Tamaraws’ primary options for preventing the other team from scoring points.
Pons is the second best scorer of the tournament with 104 points, just six points behind Jaja Santiago, and the fourth best in digs with 87.

FEU head coach Shaq Delos Santos knows his player’s defensive talent and he even labeled Pons as his “second libero.”
And Pons doesn’t mind the additional defensive duties.
“I’m the type of attacker who enjoys receiving the ball and playing defense in the back row,” said Pons after a four-set wallop of University of the Philippines, 25-17, 24-26, 25-23, 25-19.
