University of the Philippines libero Pia Gaiser left the Lady Maroons’ game against National University in the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball tournament after hurting her left knee Sunday.

Gaiser, who had to be stretchered off the court, was getting into position as Diana Carlos went up for a kill when her left knee buckled early in the first set with NU leading 4-2.

UP’s team physicians said Gaiser will be “under evaluation” for the time being.

Gaiser and the rest of the Lady Maroons can only hope that injury isn’t anything serious.

The injury to Gaiser is the latest blow to UP, which is currently on a two-game losing skid.
